Alumni Staff

Our camp staff alumni are the reason why Rally Camps are so great. Often our seasonal staff begin working with us and immediately emerge as leaders, and create the team environment that makes our coaching staff so strong. Our team often asks us about growth opportunities. We hope that our staff return summer after summer, and we want to highlight two incredibly strong examples of our returning staff today who have grown with us.

Randy Mai joined us in 2015 as a coach for Giants Baseball Camps. He quickly took command of his division and became the “favorite and most requested coach” the following summer. His ability to have fun while teaching valuable techniques to the campers, and still follow our strict safety and structural processes, quickly made him an asset to our team. He continued his growth into a leadership role with us as a Site Director, and is now an Area Director with us. Many of our coaches who work for Randy, return year after year because of the great environment he creates on the field. This summer he will oversee multiple camp operations in multiple cities!

What Randy says about Rally: “One of my passions is to inspire and motivate the youth through sports and Rally does it the right way. It’s not about repeatedly fielding ground balls or perfecting mechanics, it’s about teaching life lessons and creating coachable moments so campers have the ability to overcome any obstacle they may face in the future. I am looking forward to continuing in building for the future through Rally Camps.”

Jon Cvitanich also joined us in 2015 as a coach and became a loyal Giants Baseball Camps fan and leader. He quickly began managing our Aftercare program, and in 2020 became a Site Director.  In the off-season, Jon works for a private school in Silicon Valley coaching baseball. This will be his 9th summer with us, and as part of our development program, he will conduct portions of our leadership training, and staff training for all of our staff across the brands. He knows “The Rally Way” and we are thrilled to see his growth over the years!

What Jon says about Rally: “I return to Rally because it allows me to continue to feed my passion of working in athletics with a professional, organized company that truly cares about providing positive everyday experiences. Every year I learn something new that enhances my own coaching, teaching, and managerial skills.  Besides creating fond memories at camp, I get the opportunity to help teach campers and coaches alike life lessons and develop them as humans while hopefully adding to their passion for athletics.”

The summer isn’t just 3 months out of the year. We dream and plan for camp year-round, so that our staff and campers get the experience they deserve. Jon and Randy, along with our other seasonal leaders, are a big part of why it’s such a special experience that elicits return staff year after year. We can’t wait for 2023 to launch and for you to meet them and we encourage you to join us!
